Whatfix
Whatfix, a digital adoption platform for employee software rollouts, uses AI agents on both sides. Authors prompt pop-ups, walkthroughs and display rules into existing apps, and new employees type a task like 'Help me submit a PTO request' to get pointed to the first click.
Notes
- Authoring Agent 'generates fully configured in-app experiences using simple natural language prompts', including pop-ups, walkthroughs and visibility rules (press release, Sept 9, 2025).
- Product page tiles show the authoring loop: 'Generate a downtime announcement' drafts a pop-up; 'Customise with AI' restyles it from text ('Make this look like an alert pop-up'); 'Create rules using AI' turns 'show this pop-up only on gmail… between 10 AM to 11 PM' into targeting.
- Guidance Agent answers in the workflow from internal docs; the tile shows 'Help me submit a PTO request' anchoring a 'Click here to get started' callout on the Request time off element.
- All agents run on ScreenSense, Whatfix's context engine built on a computer-use model trained on GUI interactions, which reads what screen and step the user is on (Feb 2025 announcement).
- The onboarding case studies Whatfix cites are about employees: Acorn's '80% acceleration' in recruiter onboarding and REG's '50% improvement in time to productivity.'
