Magic Patterns

An AI prototyping tool that teaches features during the first generation instead of before it: right after sign-up, a feature-introduction modal appears over the workspace while the first output is already rendering, and the loading canvas rotates tips.

Notes

  • Growthmates' teardown: "Immediately after sign-up, a feature introduction (comments, infinite canvas) appears while the first generated output is already visible."
  • The captured modal is a paged carousel titled "Introducing Commands" — "Begin your message with '/' to access dedicated functions that the AI is optimized for" — with back/Continue buttons, laid over the generated site and file-creation log.
  • While the AI generates, the preview pane shows an illustration with rotating tips (captured: "Our Github integration is a two-way sync."); the teardown says tips cover credits, shortcuts and design systems, "keeping the user engaged."
  • Suggested next actions sit under the first response (/Polish, Add interactivity, Select element, Visit docs), and a credit nudge appears under the composer ("Almost at your limit! Get more credits.").
